# Global LLM Download Leaderboard

**Which open language models people actually download — and where those models came from.**

Ranking axis is **trailing 30-day downloads** on Hugging Face `text-generation`, not cumulative
totals. Cumulative figures reward age; the 30-day window shows what is being used now. Both are
shown for every row.

## How country is attributed

**By model family — who trained it — not by the uploading organisation.**

A third-party quantization of a model counts toward the family that trained the original. We
resolve the family from the model's **architecture** (`model_type`) rather than its name, because
names can be changed and architectures cannot. Repositories that are quantized or converted
variants inherit the attribution of the model they were derived from.

Entries we cannot attribute from that evidence are left as **Other**. We do not guess.
The unresolved share is printed in the footnote on the page.

## What is excluded

CI test fixtures (`internal-testing`, `tiny-random-*`, and similar) are removed. They accumulate
large download counts from automated test suites and are not models anyone uses.

Embedding and reranker repositories are also removed. The platform tags many of them
`text-generation`, but they do not generate text, and at their download volume they would
displace the models this table exists to rank.

## Data and limits

Measured from the Hugging Face API on the date shown on the page. This is a snapshot, not a live
feed; the measurement date is printed at the top and in every export.

Download counts are what the platform reports. They include automated and mirrored traffic that
we cannot separate, so they measure **distribution**, not users. Read them that way.

# 글로벌 LLM 다운로드 리더보드

**어떤 공개 언어모델이 실제로 내려받아지고 있으며, 그 모델은 어디에서 왔는가.**

순위 기준은 허깅페이스 `text-generation`의 **최근 30일 다운로드**입니다. 누적이 아닙니다.
누적은 오래된 모델에 유리하고, 30일 창은 **지금 쓰이는 것**을 보여줍니다. 표에는 둘 다 실립니다.

- 국가별 점유 · 파라미터 규모 · 양자화 종류 · 모델 유형 · 공개 연도 · 조직별 상위

## 국가 귀속 기준

**업로더 조직이 아니라 「모델 계열 — 누가 학습했는가」** 기준입니다.

제3자가 올린 양자화판은 **원본을 학습한 계열**로 귀속합니다. 계열은 이름이 아니라 모델의
**아키텍처(`model_type`)** 로 판정합니다. 이름은 바꿀 수 있지만 아키텍처는 바꿀 수 없기 때문입니다.
양자화·변환판은 그 원본의 귀속을 그대로 물려받습니다.

이 근거로 판정되지 않는 항목은 **'기타'로 둡니다. 추측으로 채우지 않습니다.**
미해결 비율은 페이지 각주에 실측값으로 표기합니다.

## 제외 대상

CI 테스트 픽스처(`internal-testing`, `tiny-random-*` 등)는 제외합니다. 자동화된 시험에서
다운로드가 크게 쌓이지만 실제로 쓰는 모델이 아닙니다.

**임베딩·리랭커 저장소도 제외합니다.** 플랫폼이 이들에게도 `text-generation` 태그를 붙이지만
텍스트를 생성하지 않으며, 다운로드 규모가 커서 그대로 두면 이 표가 세려는 모델들을 밀어냅니다.

## 데이터와 한계

페이지에 표기된 날짜에 허깅페이스 API로 실측한 **스냅숏**입니다. 실시간 갱신이 아니며,
측정 날짜를 페이지 상단에 항상 병기합니다.

다운로드 수는 플랫폼이 보고하는 값입니다. 자동화 트래픽과 미러 트래픽이 섞여 있고 저희가
분리할 수 없으므로, 이 수치는 **이용자 수가 아니라 배포량**을 나타냅니다. 그렇게 읽어 주십시오.
